ZAKKUM DESIGN
The Zakkum (Oleander) design has features that distinguish it from the ordinary. The wooden sitting balconies (called Jumba in Turkish) on the upstairs bedrooms are a very old traditional design feature providing private areas to enjoy the open air, particularly first thing in the morning. Many of these can be seen on the older houses of Turkey and there are numerous examples in Kas.
The ground floor has a large open salon with access to the terrace through two double glazed sliding doors. Adjacent to the salon is a bedroom/study.
The upper floor has two bedrooms at either end of the house with a corridor between.
